Bertha Almedia Price, affectionately known as Almedia, 95, passed away peacefully at home in Glen Burnie. She was born in Baltimore on October 14, 1929, to the late Bertha A. & John W. Oler. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, seamstress, gardener, Brownie leader and caregiver. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing the piano and organ, playing cards, bowling, crafting, shopping, bike riding, ice skating, and traveling with Bill, Ed, and Mary.
Almedia was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, William “Bill” Price; her son, Zane Price and her daughter-in-law, Lois Price; and son-in-law, H.G. Cawthorne. She is survived by her loving daughter, Dawn P. Cawthorne; her cherished grandsons, Chuck G. Cawthorne (Jennifer), Troy L. Cawthorne (Kristin), and Paul W. Cawthorne (Lindsay); and her great-grandsons, Dale, Dawson, Tate, Cole and Marshall.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, February 17th from 4-7 pm and on Tuesday, February 18th from 10:30 am -12:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 18th at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
