Bertha Gatewood Townsend

We are very saddened to learn of Bertha´s passing. With her went many memories and stories of farm, family and community. Her strong faith and love is an inspiration for all of us who knew her, the petite redhead who easily blushed and laughed, who was a tower of quiet strength.She raised two extraordinary children who will continue her legacy as they navigate through this life. Our hearts go out to her family.

I remember seeing Bertha and her siblings at our Garber reunion in 2012. My parents, Tim & Nita Garber have old photos. One in particular is of Maggie Ruth holding her newborn twin daughters. Prayers to all her family.
