It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and dear friend, BERTHA VALENZUELA, of La Union, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 70,
Bertha was a radiant soul whose love for life touched everyone around her. Known for her outgoing personality, infectious laughter, and sharp sense of humor, she brought joy and warmth wherever she went. Her passion for music and dancing was a reflection of her vibrant spirit—she could light up any room with her energy and grace.
Born April 10, 1955, in Anthony, Texas, to Lucinda Martinez and Roman Valenzuela, Bertha dedicated her life to caring for others. She recently retired from a long and impactful career as a Registered Nurse, where her compassion and dedication left a lasting mark on countless lives. A proud member of the Catholic Church, Bertha lived her faith through kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
Bertha is survived by her twin sons, Conrad Bobadilla (Luis) and Richard Bobadilla (Gloria), all from Anthony, NM; her brother Tom Valenzuela (Sally); and her sisters Maria Elena Jurado (Arturo) and Belen Valenzuela, all from Las Cruces, and Graciela Alvarado (Albert) of Westway. She also leaves behind her cherished brothers-in-law David Alvillar and Steve Trujillo, both of Las Cruces.
Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren: Michael, Hayden, and Richard Jr., who brought her endless pride and happiness. Bertha’s legacy also lives on through her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren, all of whom she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Conrado Bobadilla, her son Michael Anthony Valenzuela, and her sisters Eloisa Alvillar and Mary Esther Trujillo.
At Bertha’s request, cremation will take place. The family invites all who knew and loved her to join in honoring her life at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Our Lady of Refuge Parish Hall, 1320 Mercantil Avenue, in La Union, NM.
