Littlefield (Special) Funeral Services for Bertice Walker, age 89 of Littlefield, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday March 24, 2004 at Hammons Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Paul Janson, officiating and Roy Reid assisting. Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walker passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Covenant Hospital in Levelland, Texas. She was born on December 30, 1914 in Alexander City, Alabama to Charles and Brantley Anderson. She married D.J. “Sam” Walker on March 28, 1932 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1982. She was a Littlefield resident for 80 years. She worked for the Littlefield ISD as Cafeteria Supervisor from 1965 until she retired in 1985. She was a member of the Assembly Of God Church. Bertice was a very loving mother and grandmother. She lived a very full life with her family at the center. She was a homemaker.

Sister: Vida Harrell of San Antonio, Texas

Brother: Billy and wife Betty Anderson of Llano, Texas

9 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren

Family Visitation will be Tuesday Evening from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield.
