Dr Finch was my Ob/Gyn doctor until he retired. You couldn´t have asked for a nicer doctor. Bedside manners were awesome. Just learned of his death as my daughter whom he delivered is in St. Francis Hospital about to deliver her baby. He delivered her and did my Hysterectomy. I loved him as my doctor. Dr Finch delivered my first baby, almost 11 years ago. It was a Friday afternoon/evening & he just stayed around in the room with us chatting about boating and UNC. The next day he called directly to the room to see if I needed anything and tell me about what time he´d be by. He went above & beyond to take care of me. I´m so sorry for your loss.

Dr. Buddy was my OBGYN for 30 years of my life. He was the kindest, gentlest doctor. My first labor began after he had finished a long day at the hospital. He saw that I came in and he stayed to deliver her! He always made me feel special and important!

I worked with Dr. Finch as a new nurse in Labor and Delivery at Roper Hospital from 1982 to 1985 and then I worked for him in his Calhoun Street Office from 1985 to 1991. He was an awesome Physician to work with and for. He was always happy and treated his patients with the utmost care and respect. I know that he will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones. So sorry to hear of Dr. Finch's passing. He was my GYN for close to 30 years. I hated to see him retire. He had the best personality and bedside manner. Always kind and caring and taking the time needed for his patients. My deepest condolences to his family. I know he will be greatly missed.

This is so sad to hear. Dr. Finch was an awesome physician and such a great person. It was had to have bad day when you were in his presence. I was fortunate to have him as a part of my care team.
