Bertram Katz

My memory of Burt was he was always smiling and in good spirit. I worked for Burt and Henry for about a year prior to opening a sign shop in Marion. I always enjoyed speaking with Burt at work and on the street. His smile and jovial nature was a treat along with, his appreciation of others. Burt will be missed but his generosity will live on. Rest in peace Burt.

Bert was a tremendous supporter of the City of Marion. His support of the Marion Public Library and his generous support of the children's summer reading program was particularly important in the community and reflected his deep care and concern for the education of young people. Bert will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

I never had the honor of meeting Bert, but growing up in Marion, you had to know of the Katz brothers and all the good they did for the community. My condolences to the family and all who knew and loved Bert, a man who made the world around him a better place for his presence.
