Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Jay's passing today. I had the chance to work with Jay on the Memorial Park renovation and I know he put everything he had into the work there. My deepest condolences to all of Jay's family and friends.

My brother Scott and I worked for Jay for a few summers and he taught us a lot .... how to siphon gas, where ElCampo and Flatonia are, how good Miller High Life was at the end of a 100 degree day, how to brake rakes and misc. equipment, how to water the grass and he introduced us to people like Snake, Oshalee, Pete and his brother RePete, Val and Rich ... but most of all he taught us life was meant to enjoy!
Thanks Jay

To Bernie and the rest of the Riviere family,

Jay was an artist in designing and sculpting golf courses, a man with many God-given talents. Charming, handsome, thoughtful and kind, he left an indelible impression. To his children and grandchildren, I know you'll miss his warmth and wit. How wonderful it is that you had such an accomplished and loving man in your lives. Hold on to those great memories. Sincerest condolences.

Bernie, I am so sorry about Jay. I used to call him Jay Bird and he was always so much fun. He was just a great guy all around. God Bless you and your family and love to you all. Anne Stowe

I have known Jay my entire life and we spent a lot of great times together. I really modeled my life as a golf course architect from my experiences with Jay and Bruce Littell. They set the pace locally in golf course design and construction. To his family I will always have a special place in my heart for Jay and his influence on my life. He is now in Heaven catching up with all of his friends that have passed away. I ask that God give you strength to deal with your loss and he will be...

To Bernie and All of Jay's family -- Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jay was very special person and will be missed terribly.
