Beryl L. Carlson Hunter went quietly home on May 12, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Helena, Montana on May 5, 1931 to Oscar and Florence Carlson. She married Frank Hunter on March 17, 1951. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank and her youngest son Mike. She moved to Arkansas in 1973 and loved living here. Beryl is survived by two children, Diane Qualls of Springdale and Richard "Rick" Hunter and wife Mary of Overland Park, Kansas; five grandchildren, Deborah Wilson, Jeffery Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Meagan Hunter and Brittney Tehee, four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Beryl also had a large chosen family made up of Bridge players all over Northwest Arkansas. She had also become a Life Master of ACBL. Beryl loved having people around her, she called them her adopted children and they all referred to her as "Mama Hunter". She loved puttsing with her flowers and getting her hands in the dirt. Her contribution to life was raising her family, good friends and living life on life's terms. She will be warmly remembered and very missed. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale with Rev. Pam Morgan officiating.
