BESSIE JOAN DOWNING

I am Minerva Dawson Giles. Joan and I were classmates at Spingarn High school and Miner Teachers College.
We shared a friendship of many years. I am saddened to hear of her passing, She will be remembered for the times we spent together in our youth. May she be at peace ! To the family, my sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one. Sorry I was not able to attend her funeral as planned because of the weather conditions on that day.

We talked a lot on the phone and kept in touch often. I had every intention to attend her funeral but unfortunately the bad weather on that day kept me in.
