Bessie and I worked together for many years. She was a great friend who had a heart of gold. Her passing deeply saddens not only me but I'm sure many many many people. I will miss her greatly. Rest in peace my amazing friend.

I had the privilege of knowing Bessie Mae during my employment with ENMU in the mid 2000's. She was indeed quite an independent spirit. I think she was capable of anything she wanted to tackle. My condolences to her family on her passing.
