I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Ms. Ward. I had the pleasure of living next door to her. What a great neighbor she was. My daughter would always visit with her and her daughter Cathy. My daughter learned sign language and would communicate with her. I know the Master sent for a beautiful Angel. What a woman of God. I love Her.

I will always remember Bessie for her warmth and generosity, her commitment to help others and , perhaps especially, her laugh. I can hear it now.

She was a quiet hard working and committed member. She always 'walked her talk' of compassion and justice. On a personal note I will always remember how she welcomed me and my daughter into her home when we arrived in GR with only the clothes on our back when we were forced to evacuate...
