Beth-Ann Wolfe passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 in Lexington, KY with her mother by her side.
Beth-Ann was an active member of the Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Lexington. She was a volunteer in the Upward Youth Ministries as well as serving meals in the homeless program of the Immanuel Baptist Church. These two programs were very close to her heart. Her contributions to these programs included serving meals to the homeless and working with the youth sports group in basketball, soccer, and cheerleading.
Upon graduation from high school, she continued her education at Morehead State University, earning a Bachelors of Arts degree and two Masters of Arts degrees. She was employed at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for over twenty-five years until her retirement in 2014. Attaining the title of Sous-Chef was a personal highlight, since cooking was a favorite hobby of hers. After her retirement, Beth-Ann's community services continued with her devoting much of her time volunteering for charities and with her mother from Pike County.
Beth-Ann is survived by her mother, Rosa W. Wolfe of McAndrews, Kentucky; many cousins; two cats, Slim and Jim, who she referred to as her boys; neighbors and friends, three of whom are Harold King, Chad Tomlingson, and Troy Stroud. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, George Wolfe in 2005.
Funeral services will be held at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 beginning at 12 PM with Parish Priest Richard Watson officiating. Entombment will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens of Huddy, KY. Cousins of Beth-Ann will serve as pallbearers, including, Larry Neil May, Ronald Bruce May, Ricky Joe May, Chad May, Buddy May, and Ronnie May. Rick Branham and Bob Thompson will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-9 PM with a brief program at 6 PM. R.E. I went to school with Beth-Ann at Morehead State and worked at the campus paper with her. A wonderful person who brought a gentle kindness into the newsroom. I was so sorry to hear this.

Dear Mother of Beth Ann. I am a 1954 graduate of Belfry High School, and worked at the U.K. College of Nursing in personnel and budget. If I am correct, Beth Ann worked a brief period of time there also. She was a lovely person and we had many good talks about "back home". So sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. Mrs. Wolfe, I was so saddened when I read in this morning's Lexington paper that Beth Ann had passed away. I worked in the same area with her at UK. She was such a sweet and caring person. When I retired 11 years ago if I needed an answer to my questions regarding any benefits, I knew who to call. Yes it was Beth Ann. Please accept my condolences and know that Beth Ann will surely be missed. I know she is in the arms of our Lord.
