Boldt, Beth J. Olson Appleton Age 67, passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness on Friday, November 21, 2003. She was born to the late John and Margaret Neuman Olson in Gillett on July 5, 1936. On June 23, 1990, she married James R. Boldt in Elm Grove. Beth was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church where she participated in many activities. She was also a member of the Genevieve Paulson Circle of Kings Daughters where she served on the board of directors and volunteered many hours on fund raising charity projects. Beth was especially proud to be the loving mother of her two daughters. Beth is survived by her husband James, daughters: Kathryn M. Greggory Payne of Appleton and Patti M. Peter van den Kieboom of Milwaukee; grandchildren: Caroline, Virginia, James and Steven Boldt; Stepchildren: Susan Boldt of Redlands, CA, Tom Sara Boldt of San Diego, CA, and Gary Boldt of Appleton; sister, Mae Robert Hicks of Gillett; nephews; Wayne Laura Hicks and their daughter Amy Jared Rohe, all of Green Bay; Kurt Hicks and his children Abby and Kassie of Gillett; John Denise Hicks and their children Ben, Blair, and Brady all of Gillett; and a sister-in-law, Betty Richard Gibbs of Golf Shores, AL. Beth was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Rau. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2003, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 East Glendale Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Paul Brinkman officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund in Beth's name is being established for the SDS/MSA Multiple Systems Atrophy Support Group. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Theda Care Hospice, Kings Daughters Circle, Faith Lutheran Church and Beth's many friends for their generous support.
