Not sure what to say?

I met Betsy in 1963. She rescued me. I was a lonely teenager who just experienced a personal tragedy. I will always remember her great compassion, empathy and her ability to make everything better. I'm sorry we lost touch. I know she would have approved of my successful path. Her wise guidance made the difference. Thank you Betsy.
Always Watching. March 2021

ENS is grateful for the legacy of caring Betsy continues to share. One endocrine nurse yearly is recognized as carrying on Betsy's spirit of professional enquiry and achievement. Betsy was a special lady.

ENS members are saddened by the news of Betsy's passing. We recognize and appreciate her contribution to establishing the Endocrine Nurses Association 25 years ago and would like to recognize this. The board have voted to establish and award in her honor that will be given to a nominee in ENS membership with similar vision and contribution at the 2016 Endocrine Society meeting in Boston April 2nd. If a family member or Dr Mike McClung is able to contact us re presenting this award in Boston...

Holly and Andy...I loved your MOM!!!! I am very sad that you lost her. What a lover of life and relaxed with any problem that came her way...always helping others. She was completely joyous. I will remember, with fondness, our conversations on Arden Road. BTWay,please come and visit us. We have not moved; we have many things to tell you and the neighborhood is filled with tons of kids just like I remember it as when you both were Leif's and Alden's street chums. Holly, will never forget...

We remember Betsy as a child at Arch Cape in the early 1950s. My energetic little girls loved playing with Helen & Oscar's active little girls. Betsy also lived her life to the fullest into adulthood; a life cut short but leaving a positive legacy. In friendship, we send our sincere condolences.

Dear Dr. McClung,
We are terribly sorry to hear of Betsy's passing. It must be difficult to loose a loving partner and wife. She will be in our prayers. We will be glad to donate to the American Society for Bone and Mineral research in Betsy's memory.

Betsy was simply a twinkle...her dear eyes would smile along with her face. She was someone who always brought a warm and genuine presence, no matter what the arena. Our worlds were related to osteoporosis, calcium, nutrition and education...and whenever our group at the Oregon Dairy Council intersected with Betsy at the Oregon Osteoporosis Center, the professional friendships were at their best. May you find comfort in your countless memories, Mike and family, and Betsy's radiance.

I worked with Betsy at OHSU and always appreciated her humor, intelligence and integrity. I am so sorry that all of you have lost her to soon.
