Betsy was born on August 10, 1938 and passed away in September 2017. Betsy was a resident of Massachusetts at the time of passing. One of the few female graduates of the University of North Dakota with a degree in mathematics, she was recruited to teach high school math and German in California, and later taught in Minnesota before marrying.
