Bette Ann Burke, 68, of Gill Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the Slater Health Center in Pawtucket, Rhode Island after a long illness.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on January 21, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Anthony Silvia and Mary (Thomas) Silvia Bussiere.

She was a 1952 graduate of Tolman West High School in Pawtucket.

Ms. Burke was employed as a sales associate at Eckerd Drug Store in Tamarac, Florida for almost 9 years prior to retiring due to illness.

She resided in Pawtucket for the past 3-½ years having returned to the city from Margate, Florida where she lived for 4 years. Prior to moving to Florida she lived in Pawtucket and South Attleboro.

Ms. Burke was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church in Florida and Our Lady of Consolation in Pawtucket.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles and as an avid reader was a member of a book guild.

Ms. Burke leaves a son: Michael E. Eicholtz of Margate, Florida; two sisters: Patricia Silva of Pawtucket, RI and Sandra Markley of Pawtucket, RI; two brothers: Thomas Silvia of East Providence, RI and David Bussier in California, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
