Not sure what to say?

My mom and I used to walk Brown's Pt. Beach looking for agates with Bette. Sometimes the agates would "magically" appear for me. That was over 60 years ago. As we all know, she was a very special lady and I got to renew my friendship with her these past few months. She taught many years at Oakland with mom, Barbara Smith. I guess they were always stirring things up. During one of our visits I learned about how she loved NYC. She was so good for mom when we visited her. I know she helped...

Miss Graham was my favorite grade school teacher. I remember her taking her hair down and putting it back in a bun. I have fond memories of her.

Miss Graham was my third grade teacher almost 60 years ago. She was that one teacher who made the difference in my life. I will never forget what she did for me. What a great and dedicated woman. My condolences to her friends and family.

I loved Bette. I bowled in the league..we'd have a drink after bowling and she was our star! So much fun! Saw her many years later and she remembered me! Loved her youth, even at 90...what a wonder lady she was. Good by my friend...say "hi" to Pat B. for me at the pearly gates!

Bette and her friendships and her constant smile and happiness was an inspiration to all of us. The giggling and silliness of these gals, especially in the bar after...

So sorry to hear of "Miss Graham"s passing. She was my favorite teacher at Oakland grade school. I had her for 3rd and 4th grade. (1959-61) I learned so much about life from her.
