Bette Silverman

Bette was my close friend for over 38 years. She was more than a friend, she was actually a member of my chosen family. We met at work and we aligned on the same, weird sense of humor. As I got to know her, I came to understand her deep sense of values and admired her dedication to actively defending them. We supported each other in good and bad times, and talked each other off the ledge when the world seemed too difficult to defend. I don't know what I'm going to do without those...

There are some people you meet in your life who make a very positive impact and Bette was one of them. Such a wonderful soul and always so positive. Loved her zest for life and many other things about her. She will be sorely missed. Gone but never forgotten. May she rest in peace

Bette was a true friend, always concerned about my well being. I first met her on the tennis court and then she reached out to me to join other activities. She had many physical challenges but never complained about them. She was always there for me and I hope I was there for her too.

Bette was a dear friend. She was my first tennis partner when I moved to Greenbriar. She pulled me into her canasta group which I loved. I joined her bookclub. I spent some wonderful times with Bette, and I will miss her friendship. A very special lady.
