As old if out-of-touch good friends of Bettina and Phil, we were extremely distressed to discover, via the Sulgrave Club bulletin board,of Bettina's death. She was such a vibrant and wonderful person and we know that she will be greatly missed not only by her family but by many others who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Just heard about Bettina's passing from my sister-in-law, Margot West Anderson. I met Bettina many years ago in a class for beginner tennis players at the first indoor oourt in Northern Va. I was thrilled that Bettina asked me to play with her after that class as she was more experienced than I--I think we won the little tournament at the end of that class---and play we did for a number of years until we both took other paths.
