Some years ago, I led a gardening trip to Costa Rica and Betty was one of the participants. It was on this trip that she met Pam Seres who would become a good friend, I had a garden radio program at this time and Betty was a guest several times. Our paths crossed several times over the years and we always great conversations talking about gardening. Betty had a passion for gardening and it showed. It was a privilege to have known her. Goodbye friend. Every time our paths crossed I knew it would be a time of fun, joy, friendship, the ocean, plants, cats and birds. You were one terrific woman who we will greatly miss.

Great woman! It was such a shock to find out she is no longer with us. I did not know her very well but my brief encounters with her were so very positive! She had a tremendous amount of energy and knowledge and was very happy to share it. I will miss her as I know many others will too.
