Betty Loretta Beiner (nee Mone), 87, of Vermilion, died August 17, 2009 at Kingston of Vermilion following a long illness with cancer. She was born July 25, 1922 in Sandusky, Ohio, and lived in Vermilion since 1946, where she assisted her husband, Earl, with Beiner Real Estate. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Gourmet Girls Luncheon Group, Vermilion YMCA, Eight Ball Dance Club, American Legion Auxiliary Post # 397, and Vermilion Boat Club. Betty enjoyed craft club, nurturing her plants, sewing, knitting, bowling, and especially her grandchildren and great grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (the late Carlton) Lapp Vermilion and Diana (Kevin) Burt of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Lapp, Jennifer (Jeff) Lee, Kelly Burt (Dan Mead), Ryan Burt, Kristy Burt, David Burt; great grandson, Joshua Lee; sister, Dorothy Schorger of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Beiner, 1994; parents, Oscar and Dora (nee Delp) Mone; and brothers, Oscar 'Ralph', Harvey, and Floyd Mone. Friends may call Friday, August 21, 2009 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, Ohio at 11 a.m. The Reverend Terry Parker will officiate. Entombment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon at 2 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Ave. Vermilion, Ohio 44089 or New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035-1450.
