Betty and I worked to try to get some fire damaged properties from hpd to have a new mixed use artist school and living spaces... she was an amazing woman.

Betty was a brilliant artist, visionary and friend to everyone she met. Her passing is a huge loss to the arts community of New York city where she literally raised thousands of children each year through the programs at The Children's Art Carnival. Rest in Peace/Paradise, Betty! Job well done on earth.
