Betty Jane Brady

Betty Jane Brady, 77, Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 9:30 AM, Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at her residence. Betty was born in Rising Sun, IN on October 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Martha (O'Conner) and Dorman Ballard. She was a graduate of Dillsboro High School, Class of 1958 and also attended Rising Sun and Patriot Schools. Betty last worked at SIOEC in Aurora, IN. She also had worked at Anchor Glass and the Ohio County Courthouse. Betty was a member of the Rising Sun Nazarene Church. She loved to read and also enjoyed gardening, cooking and quilting. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Betty is survived by three sons, Michael McClellan(Tina), of Rising Sun, IN; Larry McClellan(Debbie) of Greendale, IN and Bobby McClellan(Audra), of Rising Sun, IN; by grandchildren: Andy, Adam, Jonah, Caleb, Zachary, Jake, Jason, Marc, Payton, Broc, Hayley and by great grandchildren: Kameryn, Bryce, Mason, Alli, Jackson and Cian; by sister, Frances Mondary and two brothers, Gary Ballard and Stanley Ballard, all of Rising Sun, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a son, Josh Lyon, by brothers, Patrick, Earl William, Ronnie and Paul Ballard, by sister, Jo Ann Hall & Shirley Lambertson, by a granddaughter, Jodi Rowekamp and by a great grandson, Drew McClellan. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, October 23rd at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor Darwin Presler officiating. Visitation will be Monday 11AM-1PM at Markland Funeral Home.
