I was saddened to hear of the passing of my friend and former co-worker from the City of Houston Health Department. Betty had a way to lift the spirits of those around her. She and I decided to "crash" an event for big time customers of a food company at an American Dietetic event. We were sure we could talk our way in. Unfortunately, I volunteered too much information.
