Dear loved ones of Betty Ruth,
I have such lovely memories of your Mom.
She would get on a street car in Ensley with her 2 babies and come all the way out to East Lake to spend the day with me and I would (with my 2 babies)go to spend the day with her in Ensley. Our husbands would come to pick us up and we would all eat supper together. Through the years we would try to visit each other when we could.
I have radiation at 10:00 AM each day and then tomorrow after that an apt....

Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. I have so many cherished memories of childhood times spent with her and the girls. She was truly a precious lady and a wonderful friend to my dear mother too. I send love and prayers to her precious daughters.

There is a void in my list of friends today. Betty was the most courageous person I have ever known. I know there had to be times when she just plain didn't feel like talking on the phone but she would call me when she did feel like it and I have special memories of a beautiful Christian friend. She was so proud of her family and Larry and I want each of you to know that you have our heartfelt sympathy.

JANUARY O4 2010

We were old friends from Vinesville Baptist Church.
Betty and I attended some Bible classes together, worked in Vacation Bible for several years and in the Church kitchen for a number of years.
I was not a part of her life after I left B'HAM,BUT,I did touch base with her on occassion.
She was a wonderful person and she will be missed.

Love Eloise Stewart

I will surely miss my "pal", Betty. I was her secret pal for a time and that is when I came to love her. She handled a difficult time with such grace and poise. She was truly an inspiration to me. May God comfort & give peace to her much loved family.
