Betty L. Cloyd Lake Station Betty L. Cloyd, age 77, of Lake Station passed way Friday, June 24, 2005 at Porter Hospital, Valparaiso Campus. She was born August 16, 1927 in Marion, KY to the late Roy and Mildred (Jennings) Jones and had been an area resident since 1947. Betty was a homemaker, a member of Community United Presbyterian Church of Lake Station, a member of O.E.S. Chapter #314 Hobart and a former member of the Lake Station Fire Department Auxiliary and Lake Station Democratic Club. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Louie Cloyd; son, Steven (Eva) Cloyd of Portage; grandchildren: Jessica (Brian) Redmon of Portage, Jennifer (Craig Miller) Granberg of Valparaiso and Jillian (Joshua Chalabis) Snuffer of Portage; great grandchildren: Tyler and Megan Redmon, Derick Granberg and Isaac Snuffer. Preceded in death by a son, Robert (Butch) Cloyd in 1968 and a brother, Thomas F. Jones in 2002. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rees Funeral Home Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Mike Becker officiating. Interment McCool Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2005 from 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. with a O.E.S. service at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 219-762-3013.
