I can recall when the nurses would come to the school. They were dressed in the nice powder blue uniforms and had the most soothing smiles. We were all frightened due to the fact that those syringes seemed so huge and the smell of alcohol was so overwhelming. Betty Cook and her nurses used the smoothest psychology to ease all of the tension. I can recall Cousin Altamese talking about her second family the Cooks.
