Not sure what to say?

I attended the memorial service for Betty Culpepper, age 96, at Westminster Oaks this past Sunday. It was one of those most beautiful days, cool and crisp, with full sun and bright blue skies preceding spring. The gathering room at Westminster was filled to capacity with friends and family. It was one of the most touching ceremonies I ever attended.

The service was held a week following Mrs. Culpepper’s death, which meant that family and friends had time to reflect on the meaning of...

Dear Blair,
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother Betty Dunn Culpepper. I never knew your mother but I have always admired your ethic for serving the community and your keen interest in Florida history. I now understand that your ethic and interests were her ethic and interests. You are her legacy and your children and grandchildren are the future legacy for serving the community and loving the history of the Sunshine State.
Sincerely,
David A....

Have only known her son Blair and knowing him and reading about his mother, it is clear that the lady raised a fine family and lived a very full life. May Almighty God bestow eternal peace to the departed soul and give the strength to the family to bear the loss.

Bruce, Blair and family,
I too, like Pope, remember your Mother substitute teaching at LHS.
She was so beautifully impressionable and endearing to all of us that we do not forget her! I always looked forward to her teaching our classes.
I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless,
Kaye Batchelor

Blair, My thoughts and prayera are with you and your family at this time. You mother had a long and wonderful life and raised some great kids. God be with you.

Our condolences to the family in this moment of great loss. We both remember with great fondness and appreciation both Dr. and Mrs. Culpepper from our student days during the uproar of university restructuring at the end of WWII. Mrs. Culpepper was Mary's Sunday School teacher at FBC, Tallahassee, a real blessing to us both. Good people cast a long shadow and Mrs. Culpepper casts a long one indeed.
Mary and Bernard Edenfield, Maitland, FL

She must have been a fine person to have such a wonderful family. My deepest sympathy.

Aunt Betty was a remarkable women. Our lives have been blessed to have known her. My prayers and thoughts are with you Blair and Bruce but I know that she is in a better place.
God bless.

I offer my sincere sympathy to the family of Betty Culpepper. As a young boy, I was influenced by her loving Christian manner as she taught me in Bible School and other activities at the First Baptist Church in Tallahassee and later as a teenager when she brought English and history to life as a substitute teacher at Leon High School. My parents had know Broward as a single man and school teacher in Leesburg before our families moved to Tallahassee and then my Father worked with Broward at...
