Frye Chapel & Mortuary of Blythe - Blythe Obituary

Betty Ann Davila was born on November 20, 1956 in Gadsden, AZ and peacefully passed away in her own home in Blythe, CA surrounded by family on December 18, 2025. Betty was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and great grandma.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Hernandez, father, Gilbert Rodriguez, bonus father, Carlos Hernandez, sister, Helen Quintanar, and daughter, Lisa Vallin.

Betty is survived by her husband, Richard Davila; her two sisters, Julia Figueroa (Alfred) & Esther Almanza; her 4 children, Gina Ruiz (Will), Johnny Rincon (Alexsia), Daniel Vallin, & Theresa Martinez (Anthony); her 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, who she adored more than anything; as well as plenty of nieces and nephews.

In her earlier years, Betty loved her work as a bartender. Many will remember her warm smile at Bruce’s Casino—or her quick wit when she’d let you know you were “eighty-sixed” if you rubbed her the wrong way. When she wasn’t working, Betty enjoyed playing pool and proudly participating in pool tournaments, a pastime that matched her spirited and determined nature.

Betty deeply loved her family and cherished every opportunity to bring them together. Family gatherings were her joy, where she could often be found playing cornhole or volleyball, proudly shouting “Who’s your Nana?” whenever she won. Her laughter and competitive spirit filled those moments with unforgettable joy.

Betty helped raise most of her grandchildren and lovingly stepped in to fully raise her daughter Lisa’s three children after Lisa’s passing. She was a truly remarkable woman with a generous heart. Beyond her devotion to her grandchildren, Betty also cared for her parents and other relatives during their end-of-life journeys, offering comfort, strength, and compassion. Betty was a blessing to many, and her love and selflessness will never be forgotten.

And as Betty would say, LUV LUV LUV!

Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of helping Betty after Lisa passed. She indeed was a wonderful person to everyone she met. Rest in peace Betty.

My most sincere condolences.
Much Love! Much Love and Many Prayers for all her family. She will be missed. Louise Alford

My condolences to the family and friends.

Dear Theresa: I'm so saddened to hear that your Mother has passed away. She was always kind and welcoming to me. Most importantly, she appeared to seamlessly (and playfully) navigate the role of advocate, friend, and parent to you and Lisa. May God's comfort and presence be as tangible now as a loving and warm hug from your Mom. Sincere condolences to you and all of your family.
