Betty was such a wonderful, classy lady! Rusty and I were so saddened to hear of her passing. We were not able to attend the service due to school commitments, but please know how highly we thought of her. We wanted to send a card to express our condolences but do not have a current address for you. Please give Rebecca a hug for us, and each exchange one, Dave and Susan. We will never forget Betty's smile and great sense of humor.

Dave, sorry that Anne and I could not make it to the funeral to personally share our condolences. I have many found memories of your mom as well as your dad during our younger days. She was a great lady and will be missed. Tim and Anne Nelson, Suffolk Va

To the Dowdy family. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. She was a member for a number of years at Bethlehem Methodist Church at Bena where I got to know her well. She was such a caring person.

I know your mom will be greatly missed.
She was a very special person and I know she really was proud of all of you.

May God comfort you and give you peace in the days to come.
