....my memory of Betty has not lessened, it never will. Some people are special and are constantly brought to the forefront. I'm so glad I was able to see her as often as I did, considering I grew up in Colorado. She will always be a strong influence in the family and in politics.

I always remember the kindness with which she treated me . She had a sense of humor and I can still hear her contagious laugh. Whenever she and the family came to Trinidad to visit, it was always such an enjoyable time. She was smart, beautiful and truly a classy lady.
