Betty Jean Forrest

It was Betty's kindness in the front office at Phil Lewis that has always created such a fond memory of my first teaching experience at the third grade level in 1969-1970. Since moving out of the area I have followed Betty's life through her bridge partner, Renee Edwards, who also taught with me at Phil Lewis.
She was a kind and gentle soul with a smile that could light up a room. I know that smile and her competence made many a child and colleague treasure her through the years.

We are so very sorry for the loss of your mom.

Betty was a live wire--enjoying golf earlier in her life, and bridge until recently. She was such a fighter--firm until the end that she wanted to stay in Summerfield with her friends. And she made and collected friends wherever she went, including her children's friends [us] and her son-in-law's family [Mary & Doug, etc.].

We're holding you all in our hearts as you celebrate her life and mourn her death.

Betty was such a live wire, enjoying golf and bridge, and fighting to the end to stay in her apartment with her friends. Betty made and collected friends every where she went, extending her warmth to her children's friends and her son-in-law's family.
