Betty Jane Harrell

HARRELL, Betty Jane (O'Hearn) - Of Otisville, formerly of Pontiac, age 89, died after a long illness on Friday, January 23, 2009 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Tim Nelson officiating. Burial in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi, Michigan. Visitation 2-8PM Sunday and 11AM Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Betty was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on July 24, 1919, the only child of Richard and Irene (McDonald) O'Hearn. Betty was most happy raising her children, doing crafts and spending time with her daughter and son-in-law. Betty retired after 10 years working in the Audio Visual Department at Pontiac Central High School. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late Dan; mother of Danny (Deborah) Harrell of Illinois, Dennis (Holly) Harrell of Whitmore Lake, David (Michelle) Harrell of Grand Blanc, Diane (Ken) Sands of Otisville; loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 4; also surviving are the O'Hearn family of Grand Rapids. Our family would like to send love and gratitude to our hospice team from McLaren, especially Connie, Julie, Teresa, Amy and Shelly; for without their support and comfort we would never have made it through the last 4 years as gracefully and pain free as we have.
