Not sure what to say?

Betty Jane, a lady that had so many qulaities. THe work she did with students from all over the world to enjoy America. A lady that was a friend to everyone that kept in touch with her friends and assoicates.
The first house that I bought was from her, and she would keep in otuch at Christmas or see you at D and W.
The world has lost a person that understands what Inernational understanding is all about in students.
I know that Betty will live on in the memories of so many...

My family has always been close to not only Aunt Betty and Uncle Paul but to Aunt Grace and Uncle Chester. We have so many good memories of time with them at the lake and the river. We kept in touch thoughout the years and met about twice a year for lunch would chat and catch up. Aunt Betty has always held a special place in my heart and always will. I think of her every Christmas when I make her cookies which everyone loves! She was the only relative there for me after my mom died. For...

My connection to Betty Jane Harwood was through my mother, Louise (Petersen) Schaefer, who worked on arrangements so an Austrian high school student (Hildy Brandauer Cardaci) would stay with us. That enabled a long-lasting friendship that continues to this day.

I can remember spending alot of time at Reeds Lake. Her father is probaly responsible for my love of the water to this day. I live on a lake not to far from the Thornapple river where I used to take the canoe and go fishing. Not much of a fan of the pool , but love fishing. I cannot drive by there without slowing down to look around and think about those times, Some of the best. Miss them all

A vivid childhood memory that I have of grandma is spending the night with her in EGR. Lisa and I would eat drumstick ice cream cones while watching the musical "Annie". The following morning we would wake up to grandma singing a cheery song (something about the sun being out) and we would feast on pancakes made in fun shapes and letters! Makes my heart smile just thinking about it. :)
