Betty Blue Jones, 80, of Bulls Gap, passed away Wednesday at Greeneville Community Hospital.
She retired from Universal Bedroom, also she worked at the old Greeneville Hospital then at Laughlin Hospital.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She was a devoted Christian woman who loved God and her family.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and especially her grandson and great-grandson.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 58 years: Grover Jones of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Jan Reynolds of Greeneville, Holly Jones of the home, and Jackie and Stanley Kite of Greeneville; a special grandson: Timothy Reynolds of Greeneville; a very special great-grandson: James Reynolds of Greeneville; a brother and sister-in-law: Freddie and Doris Crum; brothers-in-law: Phil Davis of Greeneville and Mike Willis of Greeneville; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Pat Jones of Bulls Gap, and Jimmie and Teddy Tweed of Greeneville; one special cousin: Phyllis Smith of Greeneville; a special nephew and his wife: Lynn and Beverly Malone of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; two special Yorkie dogs: Katie – Mamaw's little baby girl, and Peanut; and special friends: Barbara and Bill Walters, Claude and Holly Davis, Eddie and Wanda Malone, Barbara Frye, Betty Beach, J.B. Wills, Edmund Carter, Sam Pine, Wilma Hodge, Doug and Lorraine Jennings, Jennifer and Don Kieffer, and Lucille Renner.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Fred Crum and Stella Margaret Sexton Crum; sisters: Margaret Davis, Helen Hutton, Anna Lou Leland and her husband, Lee, and Hilda Willis; and her mother-in and father-in-law: Dave and Eudeema Jones.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with the Rev. Doug Jennings, the Rev. Charles Lindy and the Rev. Claude Davis officiating.
Interment will be on Sunday, at 2 pm in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mosheim.
Pallbearers will include Tim Davis, Lynn Malone, Owen Davis, David Jones, Don Kieffer, Aidan Kieffer and Ean Kieffer.
Honorary pallbearers will include her Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and Woods Memorial Church families, the Third Floor Nursing Staff and Respiratory Therapy Staff; a special nurse on Third Floor COVID unit, Tina at Greeneville Community Hospital East, and Debra Jo Kite.
