The nurse friends this obituary mentioned, Goldie and Sax, worked the night shift also, from 11 PM to 7 AM. Exhausted, they would go straight to bed. I am one of the four daughters of Sax (Sara Saxman Nowlin). Sax was a private duty nurse, which meant that she rarely had a day off, not even Sunday. I remember my mother, Helen McCune, talking about her friend, Peeps, when they worked together in the hospital. She thoroughly enjoyed your mother and was always gald to call her a friend as well as a co-worker. Sorry for your loss. Losing your mother at any age is always a tough time.
