My condolences to the family. So sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathy on Betty’s passing. Betty's parents and my parents were friends. My sister Mary and I were school contemporaries of Betty and her brother George in the late 1940s. I was so pleased to re-connect with Betty at a book event held at St. Nicholas Church in 2017, when my wife and I had traveled to Ann Arbor.
Betty’s father, Mr. Perros, a wonderful gentleman, had been my tutor in English when my mother, siblings and I returned to the US from Greece in 1946,...

I remember Betty visiting her family here in the Houston area. We spent quite a few hours laughing together at various quilt group meetings and other events. I will miss her.

My own grandparents were many hours away, but I had the good luck of sharing in family visits and meals with Yia Yia throughout my life. I will miss her and her fabulous rice pudding!

Mrs. Lardes was my second grade teacher at Mack School. She was one of my favorite teachers of all time. She was kind, and I’ll always remember making applesauce in class. My condolences to her family and friends.
