Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

McMullin, Betty L. (nee Glore), passed away, Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late James M. McMullin; devoted mother of Suzanne (Larry) Stephey, Carole (Michael) Field, and Lisa (Richard) Grisham; cherished grandmother of Stacey (Keith) Leahy, Ashley (Matthew) Makowski, Rachael Field, Steven (Angelica) Field, Courtney (Austin) Weems, and Kileigh Grisham; loving great grandmother of Charlie Leahy, Lucy Leahy, James, Hazel, and Henry Makowski, Nolan Field, and Eleanor Weems; dear sister of Robert Glore, Joy Snyder, and Brenda (Donald) Trokey; dear sister-in-law of Lenore Glore and Don Edgington; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Betty was born in Esther, Missouri to the late Jesse and Jewell Glore. She is preceded in death by four siblings Leroy (Jan) Glore, Irma (Guy) Spindel, John Glore, and Paula Edgington.

Betty was a devoted mother, and she absolutely loved her family and her Lord and Savior. She volunteered at her children's schools, her church, and was a Girl Scout Leader.

She enjoyed dinners with her family, traveling, puzzles, reading, attending Bible studies, and she loved her hummingbirds. Her travels included trips to all 50 states as well as many international adventures. Betty was a great cook/baker and taught her daughters to cook, but as she got older, she enjoyed when others cooked for her. The highlight of her week was Tuesday lunches with her sisters and nieces.

Betty was dearly loved and will be missed by all that knew her. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers that helped us care for her for the last six months. We couldn’t have done it without their love and support.

Not sure what to say?

Though I haven't seen Mrs. McMullin in recent years, I saw her a lot while in high school with Carole - what a gentle soul and genuinely kind and caring person she was! May her family find comfort knowing she lived a wonderful life and touched many hearts along her journey, mine included. Rest in Peace, Mrs. McMullin ~

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always! Love you girl!

Undoubtedly greeted with open arms. Heaven has a new angel.

So grateful for a lovely visit with Betty just 2 days before she went to be with Jesus. She was my friend and neighbor for the 23 years that i have lived in Eureka. We also worshipped together at St Mark’s all those years.

I really enjoyed spending time with Mrs. Betty. She was so full of joy and really loved feeding the birds. I would call her one of the golden girls sometimes. Mrs. Betty carried a special place in my heart because My Grandad mother that raised me name was also Betty Lou so when I see that I had to meet her and I fall in love since day 1. Also her Daughers were amazing I never meet a family in a short time and it actually felt like we was family. Thank you all for the time and support from...
