Betty took a chance on me when I first moved to the Houston area and gave me a job at the hospital she worked at - in the Emergency Room. We developed a great friendship over the years and I'm saddened to hear of her passing. What a terrific boss she was to me. I will always be grateful to her for hiring me as I've stayed at that same hospital for more than 25 years.
Betty had a great sense of humor too. When she turned 50, we decorated her office with "Over The Hill" banners and...
