Not sure what to say?

Prayers and love to the family.

I was Activity Director at Modern Care (many years ago), however Betty would come about once a week with new books for the residence. She was a very kind, compassionate and caring person.

I worked with Betty at JPL when first out of school. She was a wonderful friend and teacher. She was kind and patient and fun.Taught me a phrase I still use: "Dinner without drinks is like washing without soap."

When I worked at the high-rise Betty would come I think about every week and bring books from the library for folks to read. Always so pleasant to see you're always such a pleasant conversation. Just an all-round nice person. Always nice to see her

Mike, siblings, families and friends of Mrs. Pine, Please accept my condolences and prayers of comfort on the loss of your dear Mother. She was one of my favorite people in Jacksonville while growing up and when I moved back, I was so happy to see her at the library. She will be missed as she touched so many lives throughout the years. May your memories comfort you during this sad time and beyond.

Betty and I were involved with library services to seniors, bookmobiles and all ages of patrons. I met her with other outreach librarians from Decatur PL, Bloomington PL, Jacksonville PL and Quincy PL. Then I one day I applied for a cataloging position at JPL. There was Betty still hard at work! Not long after she retired and I lost touch with her. I am not surprised this energetic librarian lived to the age she did!!! She will be very busy up in Heaven. So glad we were friends. CELEBRATE HER...

I worked with Betty during my summer job at the library. She was a remarkable person. Her positive attitude towards me was very positive. So sorry for your family loss. RIP

I learned about Betty passing this morning. Very sorry to hear. Betty was my grandparents´ friend, but I spent a lot of time with her. Adults can often dismiss kids in their midst, but Betty was never that way. She took time for me, played games, golfed with me. What an amazing human being. She emanated joy. I will always think of her when I drive by the library. She was a good example for me of leadership and service. I will miss Betty Pine, still miss Louise. Sending the Pine...
