Betty LaVonne Pittman

Great sorrow for the loss to your family and the churches Betty so greatly impacted. This wonderful Christian lady will be missed, and the love of Christ she showed. Brothers Mark and Kent were on their way to the visitation, but were called away for an emergency with our Aunt Bessie Stout and her son Danny Stout.

So sorry for your loss.

Prayers to Mark, Lavonne and David. There's a song called, "Where Joy and Sorrow Meet" that I think is the emotion we feel at hearing the story of Jesus' sacrifice for us. I think it also describes the emotions of when a believer passes. Sadness at the loss and joy knowing a believer's destination. What amazing kids Charlie and Betty put out into the world. Huge shout out to Lavonne. If only all of us had one of you when we walk thru life's hardest times.

Betty was an extremely sensitive person when it involved the Holy Spirit. She was always very kind and supportive of Nancy and I when we pastored at East Alton. She was an extremely sensitive person gifted Bible teacher and she had a passion for Gods word. She will be missed but she is beginning to a new experience that she would never want to return from.
