Read MoreI remember being a kid and going to her house on Hubbard, helping her babysit with my mom, and picking raspberries from her backyard. We met up with her years later at the CLS auction, and she missed this year from having a virus - only last month. What a shock. I'll always remember how nice she was.

So sad to hear of Betty's passing. I never saw her without a smile and a happy quip. I used to call her "Corny" because of her pretty apron with the corn cobs on it. One day she surprised me with a "corny" apron she made just for me. I will always treasure it and wear it with the happy memory of her. She was such a pleasure to know and I know she just brightened up heaven with her special smile and sunshiny humor. My sympathy to all her family....
