Betty Rau

Betty was a very very special cousin to my mother and visited us in California. Last talked to her the end of May this year. She was such a beautiful energetic kind person. I have been blessed to know your family...many I met were all at a restaurant lunch in Grand Rapids (2006), a monthly family gathering tradition that continued even when Betty was the only one of her siblings remaining. Betty was a great person and mentor. She hired me at McInerney in 1971. Had it not been for her I would not have had a successful career there. Thank you and God bless.

I have fond memories of Betty, whom I met thru Quota Club of Grand Rapids. She along with other Quota members were an inspiration to the younger generation of women that followed them. And, I remember she loved golf! Hit a "hole in one" in heaven Betty. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Betty was a marvelous friend and colleague in the Purchasing profession. Played golf with her and while looking for a golf ball turned too sharply in the golf cart and dumped her off, where she rolled head over heels down a slight incline. Needless to say I was embarrassed. But she got up and just finished playing as though nothing had happened! She was a special lady!
