Betty J. Rigdon

Betty J. Rigdon, 74, Anderson, passed away January 31, 2006, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born December 29, 1931, in Anderson, the daughter of Ben and Bertha (Flora) Robinett. She lived here all of her life, a member of First Pentecostal Church and retired in 1994 from Brockway Glass after 22 years of service. Betty is survived by her six children and spouses, Mickey and wife Carolyn Rigdon of Lafayette, IN, Jeff and wife Mary Rigdon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Connie Rigdon of Arlington, TX, Kathy and husband Alan Wallace of Pearland, TX, Nina and husband Paul Ehrgott of Anderson, Becky Rigdon of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Angela Rigdon, Mikey Hickey, Sarah Hickey, Taylor Ehrgott, Emily Ehrgott, Olivia Ehrgott, Jacob Ehrgott, Courtney Rigdon; one great grandson, Tyler Rigdon; a brother, Charles "Chuck" and wife Linda Robinett of Anderson; a sister, Jean and husband Garland Scott of Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pellie G. Rigdon; son, Pellie G. Rigdon, Jr.; brother, Gilbert "Sonny" Robinett; grandson, Terry Rigdon.

Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Revs. R.B. Bingham and Danny St. Clair officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
