Betty Starnes was a wonderful lady. She was my friend, my next door neighbor and a great listener! We became neighbors in August 2006. I still recall our sweet talks sitting in the shade under her dogwood tree. We talked of our children and grandchildren, our faith, losing loved ones, our upbringing and flowers! She knew so much about gardening - Betty's yard blooming in the spring could have been a lovely postcard! My Iris flower bed that blooms so beautiful every spring is due to the bulbs...
