Not sure what to say?

Betty was one of the staff when I was a anaesthesiology resident at UOHSC from 1979-1981. She was very hands on, practical, and was a good teacher and mentor. I was new to the US having trained thus far in the UK, and I was very glad to have her guidance and encouragement. My condolences to her family.

Betty was a friend, mentor, teacher, pioneer & an example for women in medicine. She managed to juggle family, career, spiritual generosity & partnership with John. What a team. Thank you for your many gifts to each & all you touched.

Betty was an amazing mentor and role model. The impact of her teaching and compassion will resonate for decades to come. I will miss her.

I had the privilege of working with Betty in the OR at OHSU. It was always a good day working together for our patients. When I moved over to DCH, I really missed working with her. I know that she will be missed, she was an amazing woman. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

Betty's faith and voice were true blessings to our church family. God-Speed, Dear Friend.

What an incredible life and career. Thank you for your gifts of compassion, generosity, and kindness. A true inspiration.

Betty and John were very supportive of the work of InterVarsity Christian Fellowhip and as the Northwest Director I was grateful for their special vision for getting collegians into less developed places in the world in order to shape their vision and calling "to bless the world with their giftings."
