Betty Rodgers Tucker, 83, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John W. Tucker, Sr. They were married 58 years. Mrs. Tucker was born in Charleston, SC, a daughter of David A. Rodgers and Rose Paille Rodgers. She was a graduate of St. Andrew's High School and a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, John W. Tucker, Jr. PhD, and his wife, Sarah Blain Kennedy DVM; grandsons, Dylan M and Duncan K.; a daughter, Lisa Jacqueline Tucker; granddaughters, Jacqueline K. Standafer and Jessica Standafer Owens and her husband, Simon. She was predeceased by a son, Keith Bryant Tucker. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Betty Tucker are invited to attend her funeral service at 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Graveside, Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
