Betty Jean Ouzts Turner, 79, of 3906 Harless Street, widow of William Turner, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Day Burnett. She was retired from Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was of the Holiness faith. Surviving are three daughters, Jean Powell (Kenneth) of Winder, GA, Maxine Fischer (Todd) of Leonardtown, MD, and Linda Mole (Scott) of Lexington; two sons, Charles "Coot" Rushton of Laurens and James "Butch" Ouzts, Jr. of Ware Shoals; sisters, Ruby Padgett of Ridge Spring, Catherine Chapman and Brenda Chapman, both of Saluda, Joyce Crouch of Greenwood; a brother, Donnie Burnett of Greenwood; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Allen and a son, Marty Ouzts. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle, 910 Sweetwater Road, Greenwood, with the Rev. Randy Ouzts and Pastor Delores Rapp officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 W.
