Dear VanderMeer children, It´s providential tonight that I googled your parents´ names and learned of your mother´s recent passing. My sympathy! Your Grandpa Dick and my mother, Tess Hoitenga, were siblings. I´m going through some of my mother´s things tonight and just read a 32-page typed "Memoirs in the life of Dick H.
