Not sure what to say?

I asked my kids what their memories were about their Aunt Betty. They remember her always smiling, always friendly, enjoying laughter and lots of hugs. She kissed all the babies and loved the barbecues. She liked to watch them swim at the beach, even though she wouldn't go in the water. She would sit on shore, watching, eyes lit up, clapping for them when they tried their little stunts. They remember her singing in the car and getting the rest of us to sing along. My heart is broken and I will forever miss you, but I am glad your suffering is over even if it means I no longer have you in my life. You were always there for me no matter how much I drove you crazy and I know I am not easy to love…but you never, ever stopped. Whenever I feel your loss most I will remember the drives through the back roads of Stony Brook always getting lost; or through Brightwaters where you would tell us “Pick out the mansion you’re going to buy when you work hard and...

We were sisters. We fought, we laughed, we shared, we loved, and she had a heart as big as the Grand Canyon. She helped many people and spread her cheer to everyone. She sent kisses to every baby she saw, and she sure did leaves her "footprints in the sands of time."

Unfortunately, I never met Betty in person, however her son Keith is someone who is very special to my twin sister and to me an extended family member. My prayers go to him in his loss of her in his life on earth. Peace
be with all of the Vollmer Family and Friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Tom, Keith, Kenny and Scott, I will always remember your Mom's loving support and prayers during one of the most difficult times of my life. She was so kind and sweet and always made me feel that she genuinely cared about me and my family. She was a very special Lady. I send you all many hugs and lots of love.
